Job summary

United Alloy is seeking a dedicated on-site Material Handler in Janesville, WI. You will pull stored materials, count and identify parts, and move items to production or shipping areas in line with our manufacturing philosophy.

Responsibilities include material identification, accurate counting, kitting, and documenting movements. You’ll maintain clean pathways and follow safety and ISO guidelines in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Certified forklift operator with at least 1 year experience.
• Ability to move 1,000 lbs+ with forklift.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, bander, shrink wrapper, forklift, tape measures and calipers.
• Must determine material types and gauges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must perform duties in accordance with UA and ISO requirements.
• Regular lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Pull stored materials for orders and move to production or shipping area.
• Identify materials using part numbers.
• Count raw materials accurately.
• Supply work area with materials.
• Perform kitting as required.
• Document material handling information.
• Issue raw material to jobs and transfer locations in CSI accurately.
• Count and tag material prior to handling.
• Maintain clear pathways on the production floor.
• Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices.
