Job summary

Valmont is hiring a Material Handler for the 2nd shift in El Dorado, KS. The role moves materials through production, unloads inbound goods, and records movements to keep inventory accurate. You will operate a forklift and other equipment while maintaining a clean, safe yard area.

Starting wage is $22.68/hr with shift differential; a forklift cert or the ability to obtain one is required. The position reports to the Production Supervisor and requires safety-focused collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• One year of forklift/heavy equipment experience or training.
• Able to obtain forklift certification.
• Able to read blueprints and tape measures.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare poles in loads for shipping and unload materials promptly.
• Maintain documentation of received and shipped materials.
• Inspect loads for safety/quality and keep yard organized.
• Operate lift equipment safely and support inventory accuracy.
• Follow safety policies and assist with other duties as needed.
