Job summary

Standex International is hiring a Utility Worker in Billerica, MA to support production operations through material handling, machine operation assistance, logistics, and housekeeping. The role reports to the Manufacturing Manager and operates on a 2:15pm–10:15pm shift with differential.

You will assist with machining, welding, HT, spinning, and shipping, monitor temperatures, handle materials, and maintain safe work practices and documentation. Standex offers a dynamic, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D required.
• OSHA forklift license and hoisting licenses (1C and 3A) required.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work in a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Able to follow directions and maintain PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with shop production and setup operations (Machining, welding, HT, spinning, shipping).
• Monitor torches to achieve and maintain proper tooling and temperatures.
• Perform basic fabrication including buffing and deburring; prepare weld preps.
• Rigging, staging, flipping product and tooling for all operations.
• Material handling between operations and storage; remove scrap.
• Clean up of machinery, tooling, and work area; apply rust preventatives.
• Organize and maintain product and tooling storage; packing of WIP and finished components.
• Documentation and reporting accuracy for all tasks.
