Job summary

Kearny, New Jersey-based Maintenance Technician role at Bunge is responsible for routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. You will perform mechanical and minor electrical repairs, troubleshoot equipment, and support safety and quality during production runs and changeovers.

The position requires standing for the shift, good communication, and the ability to follow food safety and HACCP-related training where assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment including pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves and various power sources.
• Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, repair and maintenance.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance and minor electrical repairs on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot production equipment throughout the plant.
• Communicate with production personnel regarding line status.
• Monitor lines and address abnormal machine conditions.
• Assist line operators with adjustments to improve quality and efficiency.
• Ensure safety items on machines are maintained in good condition.
• Conduct major preventive maintenance on production lines.
• Maintain records of repairs and parts used.
• Verify tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.
