Job summary

Bunge Iberica SA in Kearny, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform routine maintenance on plant equipment. Work is guided by the Maintenance Manager with emphasis on safety and efficiency. Starting pay is $30 per hour, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting pumps, motors, conveyors and related systems, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting line changes to improve reliability and uptime. Shift is 3pm–11:30pm.

Qualifications

High School graduate is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of pumps, motors, conveyors, air valves and various power sources.
Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical maintenance on manufacturing process equipment, including cleaning, lubricating and adjusting parts.
Troubleshoot production equipment throughout the plant.
Communicate with production personnel on line status.
Monitor lines and address abnormal machine conditions.
Assist line operators with problem solving during changes to improve quality and efficiency.
Ensure machine safety items are maintained in good condition.
Perform major preventative maintenance on production lines.
Maintain repair records and record parts consumed.
Keep tool and machinery part inventory up to date.
Verify tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.
Carry out other duties as assigned by supervision.
