Job summary

The J.M. Smucker Co. is looking for a 2nd Shift Mechanic/Maintenance Technician in Orrville, OH. This role involves advanced troubleshooting and repair of equipment in a food manufacturing environment. Candidates should possess mechanical aptitude, previous experience, and a high school diploma or GED.

The successful candidate will also lead preventative maintenance and execute improvement projects. The position offers a competitive wage of $37.42/hr after a training period, and a core schedule of Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:30pm.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age with a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
• Previous mechanic experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for advanced troubleshooting and repair of equipment and mechanical systems.
• Initiate and execute improvement projects.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for equipment.
