Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Detroit, MI is seeking a Utility Technician to perform routine maintenance across various sites. The role focuses on preventative maintenance to prevent major repairs and keep equipment running smoothly.

The shift runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a pay rate of $16.80–$17.80 per hour. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED and be able to work safely in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six months in a company environment or equivalent experience preferred.
• A valid driver's license may be required for this position.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Completed safety and task training certifications.

Responsibilities

• To perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Maintain clean work area and comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect and repair fleet vehicles, troubleshoot power tools or replace a broken component on a production machine.
• Inspect work processes to ensure projects turn out correctly.
• Take direction and respond to supervision and perform work assignments in a team.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• May utilize Boom Lift/Highlift to complete high-rise cleaning tasks and related duties.
• Drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
