Job summary

ABB's Distribution Solutions Division seeks a Maintenance Technician in Pinetops, NC to oversee maintenance of equipment, production lines, and facilities, ensuring reliability and efficient energy use.

You will work with engineering and management to define maintenance plans, address breakdowns, and implement health, safety, and environmental guidelines, with onsite work and daily collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years working as a maintenance technician.
• Data Analysis & Reporting experience.
• Knowledge of Engineering & Manufacturing Processes.
• Planned Maintenance & Backlog and Specialist Technical & Engineering Skills.
• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Working with the engineering and management team to specify maintenance plans for new production lines.
• Consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety.
• Solving major technical, equipment or facilities challenges to increase the performance of the production lines.
• Reacting promptly to any emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, or other problems to minimize disruption to production.
• Proposing improvements for processes and production lines aimed at reducing maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
• Maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
• Implementing health, safety and environmental guidelines and directive.
