Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, repair and maintain machinery in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment in Louisiana. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, fabricate parts and work with teams to minimize downtime while upholding safety protocols.

Major duties include routine servicing, equipment installation, and keeping detailed records. The role requires endurance for long shifts and the ability to work at heights, with on‑call flexibility on weekends

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with hand and power tools, and basic electrical knowledge.
• Experience with safety protocols, Hazwoper and confined space training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, inspections and diagnostics on motors, pumps, valves and related equipment.
• Repair components, install machinery and perform emergency fixes.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues using tests and schematics.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and stock inventory.
• Adhere to HSE regulations and safety policies; participate in process safety management.
