Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL, seeks a Maintenance Technician for the 3 pm–11:30 pm shift. You will install, test, maintain and repair mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems, and work with internal/external trades as needed.

Requirements include a High School diploma or 5+ years of experience, ability to respond to emergencies, English communication, and basic computer skills. Driver's license is required, with day-one benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years of maintenance experience acceptable.
• Licensure or certification not specified beyond Driver'sLicense requirement.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and follow sketches or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, and systems.
• Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, independently or with trades.
• Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Documents and maintains records of inspections and work performed.
• Requisitions materials and maintains inventory for maintenance tasks.
