Job summary

American Pop Corn Company in Iowa is seeking a Production Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift) to keep our plant running safely and efficiently. You will work on forklifts, machines, and electrical systems as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team.

You’ll diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, coordinate with the supervisor, and help improve equipment performance while maintaining clean and compliant work areas. We offer a strong benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, work instructions, labels, and shipping documents.
• Basic math and inventory knowledge.
• Experience with inventory systems or scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with mechanical, pneumatic maintenance, machinery, equipment, and light electrical repair.
• Diagnose machinery and equipment malfunctions to determine repairs needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and service on machines; coordinate PM with Supervisor.
• Coordinate with Storeroom/Inventory Specialist for parts and services.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and supplies; document work performed.
• Support safety initiatives and production schedules.
