Job summary

Homewood Living Williamsport is seeking an experienced LPN for full-time evening shifts. You will administer medications, maintain meticulous care records, and supervise Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides to ensure high-quality resident care.

You will participate in care planning, assess residents’ needs, and respond with professional, empathetic nursing support in a warm retirement community.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and valid LPN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrates good judgment, initiative and dependability.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist and turn for an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds for resident assistance.
• Ability to push a med cart in dispensing medications.
• Ability to react quickly and decisively in emergencies.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate with residents clearly.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing techniques.
• Maintains accurate, descriptive records of medical and nursing care.
• Assigns daily care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides; monitors delivery of care.
• Transcribes and executes physicians' orders; assists with physician visits.
• Participates in resident care planning and evaluates residents' physical/psychological needs.
• Ensures confidential handling of residents' information and documents.
