Job summary

Jackson Memorial Long-Term Care Center in Miami, FL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time evening shifts (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) to support skilled nursing care. Responsibilities include patient interviews, medication administration under supervision, IV setup, phlebotomy assistance, and coordination of referrals within inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN program and a Florida LPN license; BLS may be required by the unit.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by Florida.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
• IV training per Florida Board of Nursing/compact states.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patient about problems, meds, and allergies and reviews prior/current info.
• Keeps patients informed of medical condition and treatment plan.
• Administers medications under supervision of physician/RN.
• Establishes and documents treatment regimen under supervision.
• Performs immunizations, nebulizer treatments, TB tests, and related procedures.
• Assists in phlebotomy and IV setup/maintenance under supervision.
• Maintains inventory of narcotics and exam room supplies.
• Performs office duties: phones, triage, and messages.
• Coordinates patient referrals and supports new staff orientation.
• Demonstrates CARE values and adheres to unit policies.
