Presbyterian Living in Lake Forest, IL, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time evening shift (3pm-11pm) at Lake Forest Place. The role includes administering medications, care planning, supervising CNAs, and direct resident care for our senior residents.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved registered professional nursing program.

Responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care to residents within standards of nursing practice.
Administers medications and treatments per policies; understands indications, actions and major side effects.
Completes admission records and initiates care plans.
Supervises nursing assistant staff during direct resident care and communicates plan of care.
Documents information in the medical record and monitors residents’ status.
Maintains a safe environment and responds in urgent situations.
Makes rounds and observes changes in resident condition; collaborates with supervisors on performance.
