Presbyterian Living seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for Lake Forest Place, Lake Forest, IL, to deliver nursing care on the 3pm-11pm shift with every other weekend eligibility. You will administer medications, develop care plans, and supervise CNAs to maintain a safe and compassionate environment for residents.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved registered professional nursing program.
Active, current Illinois license to practice professional nursing.
CPR Certification Required - Accredited by American Heart Association.
One year as an LPN in a hospital (general care) or long-term care setting with adults preferred.
Genuine interest in working with older adults.
Knowledge of aging changes and common health problems of geriatric patients.
Ability to direct nursing assistants.

Responsibilities

Practices nursing within the scope of standards of nursing practice.
Performs nursing care within the scope of education and ability, providing direct nursing care to residents.
Completes admission record, and initiates care plans.
Administers medications and treatments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Takes direct action in urgent and emergent situations.
Anticipates and acts to maintain a safe environment.
Implements the plan of care for individual residents.
Supervises nursing assistant staff in direct resident care by: giving reports, observing, discussing plans, rounds, and feedback.
