Job summary

Good Samaritan – Bethany in Brainerd, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care in a long-term care setting under supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The LPN administers medications, documents care, and supports resident well-being while collaborating with a care team.

Evening shift is 2:00pm–10:30pm; full-time role with bi-weekly hours and rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• IV therapy/management skills may be required in North Dakota.
• Minimum 400 hours of supervised clinical experience as LPN or equivalent.
• Current unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board; multi-state licensure may apply.
• Completes required continuing education units and competency training.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor resident status.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes; maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with RN, physicians and other staff as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Education
