Job summary

Conagra Brands seeks a Line Mechanic to support the Council Bluffs facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production lines, perform PMs, and complete work orders to keep a steady production flow. The role requires use of basic tools, and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps and electrical systems.

Onsite at Council Bluffs, IA, with safety and GMP adherence. Starting pay is $26.48 per hour with attendance bonuses and shift differentials; you will work 3:00 PM–1:00 AM and

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED, Technical School.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of maintenance or related experience.
• English: Read, write, and comprehend written instructions.
• Tools: Basic hand/power tools and equipment knowledge.
• Maintenance: Planned Maintenance and maintenance work cycles.
• Technical: Pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, piping, power transmission; basic welding, machining, electrical.
• Physical: Move up to 75 lbs.
• Safety: Plant safety, GMPs, confined spaces; MSDS and LOTO/PIT knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to keep lines running.
• Complete work orders and PM activities as scheduled.
• Read and follow written instructions in English and record results.
• Perform teardowns/setups and minor line adjustments as needed.
• Replace components (motors, gearboxes, hoses, pins) and verify operation.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
