Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred for Line Cook I.
• Evenings, weekdays, weekends and Holidays required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Prior experience in related food service positions preferred.
• Moderate reading and writing skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
• Promotes positive public relations with guests.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; cooperates and works with co-workers with minimal supervision.
• Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.

Responsibilities

• Preparing or directing preparation of food using established production procedures.
• Determining amounts of food and supplies required to meet production needs.
• Complying with sanitation and hygiene standards; proper food handling.
• Storing food properly and safely with dates.
• Reporting equipment repair and maintenance needs.
• Preparing food according to recipes and diet orders; portioning for serving.
• Planning production to coordinate with meal serving hours and maintain quality.
