Republic Gastropub in Oklahoma City is seeking a line cook to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen. We pair elevated pub fare with a craft beer program in a high-energy setting at Classen Curve.

Prepare and portion food, execute standard recipes, maintain clean workstation, and support kitchen operations. Must have 1 year kitchen prep/cooking, clear communication, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and availability for full-time shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 70 pounds.
• Work in a standing position for long periods (up to 9 hours).

Responsibilities

• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables and other food items for cooking.
• Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Maintains standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products on line stations.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard sizes and recipe specs.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area and equipment.
• Prepares items for broiling, grilling, frying or sautéing.
• Follows plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Labels and dates all products prepared.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation.
