Job summary

County College of Morris is seeking a Part-time Library Services Assistant. Hours are 5:00-9:00 p.m. on weekdays during the academic year and 5:00-8:00 p.m. during the 6-week summer session.

The position pays $19.28/hour and includes responsibilities such as handling circulation, assisting with devices, and helping patrons. Fluency in Spanish is desirable. The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of public service experience; library experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 3 years public service experience preferred in a library setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications is expected.
• Fluency in Spanish desirable for patron assistance.

Responsibilities

• Answer directional and general information questions to assist patrons.
• Register borrowers and check out library materials.
• Refer questions to librarians as needed and monitor public areas for safety.
