Job summary

The City of New York's Intake and Assessment Bureau seeks a Night Expeditor to manage case flow, prep cases for ADAs/TPAs, and ensure paperwork is complete for arraignments.

Applicants must be willing to work an evening schedule (4pm - 12am) and have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field, plus 2–3 years in a related role. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies or related area or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily staff productivity and case flow to arraignments.
• Prepare cases for assignment to ADAs and TPAs.
• Review rap sheets and open case sheets.
• Coordinate with police for additional paperwork or evidence.
• Notify law enforcement to appear at our offices.
• Answer phones and provide administrative support.
• Schedule Desk Appearance Tickets (DATs).
