Job summary

Northwell Health seeks an experienced Electrician/Facilities Maintenance professional to ensure reliable operation of electrical and related systems across multiple buildings in New York. Responsibilities include monitoring building management systems, performing repairs, and ensuring safety and continuity of services for patient areas.

The role requires several years in electrical maintenance, knowledge of HVAC and building automation, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in electrical maintenance including two (2) years electrical courses and one (1) year basic electronic circuit courses is required.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience in maintenance of plant operations such as electric, steam, water, air conditioning and medical gases is required.
• NYC G17 Bulk Medical Gas Certificate is required.
• Maintains required certificate of fitness as required by FDNY and AHJ.
• Experience in building management system computers with direct digital controls (DDC) for HVAC is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors building management systems computers for efficient operation of power, heat, water, air conditioning and fire systems, making adjustments from computers as necessary.
• Conducts daily rounds in all buildings, grounds and mechanical spaces to ensure proper operation of equipment; makes repairs and adjustments as necessary.
• Performs all duties of electrician including patient calls for lighting, call lights, power outages, etc., and makes emergency and operational decisions to maintain services.
• Performs continuous scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment by replacing or repairing parts, adjusting, lubricating, etc., to avoid failures.
• Performs related duties as required.
