Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture or equivalent experience, or combination totaling 10 years.
• Minimum of 6 years of occupational-specific experience, or 10 years total with education.
• Knowledge of City, State, Federal codes; ability to read blueprints; supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and administration of maintenance programs for mechanical and electrical equipment at NYP sites.
• Plan electrical projects: specs, contractors, schedules, shut-downs, and cost estimates; supervise installations and resolve design issues.
• Maintain electrical systems with maintenance schedules, testing, and coordination of shut-downs and installations.
• Recruit, select, and orient staff; provide direction, training, and performance evaluations; ensure policy compliance.
