Job summary

San José-Evergreen Community College District is seeking a Lead Custodian to supervise a team of custodians and coordinate daily operations. The role reports to the Facilities Manager with a 4:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m. shift and includes a 2.5% swing shift differential.

The position requires responsible leadership, knowledge of cleaning methods, and the ability to manage safety, equipment, and supplies across campus facilities.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Three years of custodial or janitorial experience with increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead custodians and coordinate daily work.
• Assist supervisor with safety inspections and events.
• Operate custodial equipment and ensure proper use.
