Job summary

San José-Evergreen Community College District is seeking a temporary on-site Custodian at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose, CA, starting ASAP. The Custodian will perform a wide variety of custodial, maintenance, and moving tasks to keep classrooms, offices and facilities clean, sanitary, and safe. Shifts run Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m.

to 12:30 a.m., with hours varying. Qualifications include reading/writing ability and two years of administrative/clerical experience with heavy public

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak at a level sufficient for job performance.
• Two years of administrative/clerical experience with heavy public contact.
• Experience in custodial services; prior educational environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial, maintenance and moving tasks.
• Care for cleaning and setup of classrooms, offices and facilities.

Role

This is atemporary, on-site role for an Custodian at San José – EvergreenCommunity College District, located at Evergreen Valley College inSan Jose, CA which starts ASAP. The Custodian, performs a widevariety of custodial, maintenance, and moving tasks in the care,cleaning and setup of assigned classrooms, offices and facilitiesand keep them in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition. Schedule:hours and days will vary Monday through Friday, with shiftsscheduled between 4:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.Hours/Days will vary fromMonday-Friday from 4pm to 12:30am.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal or informal education which assures theability to read, write and speak at the level sufficient forsuccessful job performance
• Two years of administrative (clerical) experience involvingheavy public contact and primary support to an individual ordepartment
• Experience in custodial services and work
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Prior experience in an educational environment is a plus

The hourly rate will be $26.24/hr.
