Job summary

Highland Chateau Health + Rehabilitation Center in St. Paul, MN seeks a dependable Cook to join the dietary team. You will prepare nutritious meals for 50+ residents, ensure therapeutic diets are met, and lead servers during meal service.

Prior LTC or healthcare food service experience is preferred and ServSafe certification is a plus. The role supports a part-time PM shift (11pm-7am) with every other weekend rotation, offering competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; long-term care or healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of modified diets (mechanical soft, pureed, diabetic, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for 50+ residents following planned menus and portion guidelines.
• Lead, direct, and support dietary servers during meal service.
• Coordinate meal timing and service flow to ensure residents receive meals promptly.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen in compliance with regulations.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and infection control practices.
