Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking a PM Lead Cook to manage kitchen operations, assist in food preparation for patients, the retail cafeteria, and functions, and serve as the primary resource when the Chef is unavailable.

You will maintain high standards of quality and safety while delivering excellent patient and guest experiences, following production sheets, and ensuring proper use of slicers, ovens, fryers, and grills.

Qualifications

• Food handler permit or ServSafe certificate within 60 days of hire.
• Read recipes and follow recipe directions; read thermometers and compute measurements.
• 3 years cooking in a healthcare facility, school, hotel catering or restaurant.
• Ability to operate slicer, oven, fryer, grill, etc.
• Read and follow production sheets.

Responsibilities

• Lead will be the main resource for kitchen questions in Chef's absence and work a station producing food for patients, the retail cafeteria, Meals on Wheels, and events.
• Maintain high quality and safety standards and professional attitude toward patients and staff.
