Job summary

Harbourwood Post-Acute and Rehab is hiring for a Laundry Aide to support daily laundry and environmental services. You will follow established schedules, handle soiled and clean linens, and maintain a clean laundry area while protecting resident privacy and safety.

The role requires an ability to read and follow instructions, basic math, and teamwork in a long-term care environment. Evening shift with cohesive staff support is provided.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to add, subtract and perform basic math.
• Housekeeping/laundry experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carries out all laundry duties as directed by Environmental Services Director.
• Follows daily work/cleaning schedules and maintains hygiene standards.
• Uses laundry equipment safely and reports defects promptly.
• Maintains privacy and dignity of residents at all times.
• Adheres to infection control policies and PPE requirements.
• Completes daily documentation and communicates with supervisor.
