Job summary

Marmon Utility LLC is seeking a skilled Large Machine Operator to join the Plastics department at our Seymour, CT facility. You will operate and set up large machinery to complete final cable processes, ensuring safety and quality throughout the production cycle.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus technical machinery training or manufacturing experience, and the ability to work a Mon-Thur 7pm-7am shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machinery preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/production, preferably cable/wire.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to operate machinery safely.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Able to stand for extended periods and handle heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and work orders.
• Set up, monitor and operate large machines (armorer, cabling, strip line, pulling eyes).
• Move/load reels of product and parts.
• Guide and thread cable into machinery; splice wires; cap and tape ends.
• Monitor product quality and maintain documentation.
• Train employees; participate in team meetings; maintain a clean, safe work area.
