Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Certified Lactation Educator to provide individualized education and breastfeeding support within the maternity services.

You will promote evidence-based care, facilitate mother-infant bonding, and guide families through hand expression, pumping, and milk storage while documenting care in the EMR. Evenings, part-time shift available, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• CLE certificate specialized in breast feeding required.
• One to two years previous experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Experience using computers for consultation documentation.
• Customer-centric verbal and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized education and support to breastfeeding mothers.
• Promote breastfeeding and assist with evidence-based care management.
• Enter information and consults into the hospital EMR system.
• Lead breastfeeding support groups and participate in tours and events.
