Job summary

ALS is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technician for the 2nd shift in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities include conducting laboratory testing, ensuring safety and quality guidelines, and maintaining equipment. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma/GED and preferably some laboratory experience. Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tasks are performed within time restraints and according to relevant quality and safety policies and procedures.
• Use results from test method(s) in calculations.
• Prepare and/or aliquot samples for required tests.
• Perform routine daily and/or weekly verifications and calibrations.
• Perform analysis on samples through direct testing.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels for supplies and reagents.
• Generate and handle hazardous wastes.
• Participate in shift handovers.
