Job summary

Chesterton Health and Emergency Center & Franciscan Health Michigan City at La Porte is seeking a qualified MLT/MT for 28 hours per week in the evenings. The role emphasizes specimen processing, test performance and accurate reporting in a multi‑disciplinary clinical lab.

Qualifications

• MLT or MT role requires appropriate degree(s) in laboratory science.
• Experience or training in clinical lab settings preferred.
• Must be able to perform specimen processing and testing with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing, test performance and reporting results.
• Report results according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Assist with quality control, quality assurance, and compliance with CLIA, CAP, JCAHO, and other standards.
• Perform specimen collection as necessary.
