Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support daily laboratory operations, including preparing specimens, organizing supplies, and ensuring quality and safety standards. The role emphasizes phlebotomy, data accuracy, and maintaining a clean, efficient lab environment.

Standard shift is 3:00pm-11:30pm with every 3rd weekend; 40 scheduled hours per week. A sign-on bonus is available for new hires, and the position is non-union.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program; phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens and related supplies according to procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity of laboratory data.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist in onboarding and training of new team members.
• Perform additional duties to support laboratory operations.
