Job summary

Labcorp in Fairmont, WV is hiring a Specimen Processor I to join our fast-paced clinical lab team. You will accession specimens, sort samples, and perform data entry in a high-throughput environment, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, willingness to handle biological specimens, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and experience in a team setting. Evening shift, Monday–Friday 5:00pm–9:30pm, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse.
• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
