Labcorp in Tampa, FL is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team. This role supports analytical workflows by preparing specimens, labeling, routing, and ensuring proper storage and shipping of samples.

The position requires a high school diploma and offers opportunities to grow in a fast-paced laboratory environment with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and meeting production goals. Monday-Friday 6PM-2:30AM with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with data entry and basic computer use is preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing specimens are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas
• Identify and label specimens accurately
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Resolve and document any problem specimens
