Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus is seeking a Pre-Analytics Processing Technician to join a fast-paced, full-time evening shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) in the laboratory. You will process patient specimens, perform daily QA, and support accurate turnaround times in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree (Science preferred) with two years of lab experience, or four years of processing work.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (preferably in Science) and two years of lab experience.
• OR a total of four years of lab processing experience may substitute education.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, physics or MLS may substitute two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced manual processing.
• Interpret and accession reference lab specimens.
• Collect and analyze data.
• Perform body fluid processing using aseptic technique.
• Conduct higher level accessioning in the Lab Information System (LIS).
• Perform extensive manual processing for esoteric testing and non-Cleveland Clinic reference laboratories.
• Perform all duties of the Laboratory Processing Technician II.
