Florida Woman Care Laboratory is seeking a Lab Assistant to support the Clinical department. Responsibilities include specimen receipt, triage, processing, and maintaining equipment and workspace. The role requires attention to safety and regulatory compliance and involves evening hours.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or higher, with preferred science degrees and 2 years of lab experience. The position operates Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, in a patient-focused lab

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in science preferred.
• Experience with Cytology, Histology, or Molecular Microbiology preferred.
• 2 years’ lab assistant experience or relevant lab work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process specimens with proper identification and collection containers.
• Label specimens accurately and distribute to testing areas.
• Prepare equipment and workspace for testing and maintain cleanliness.
• Perform equipment maintenance and document activities.
• Handle clerical and administrative duties as needed.
• Organize specimen storage and monitor inventory levels.
• Report non-conformities or malfunctions to staff and leadership.
• Follow all health, safety, and chemical hygiene procedures.
