Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Main Campus in New York, is seeking a Laboratory Assistant under the supervision of the Special Services Supervisor. You will perform specimen accessioning, LIS data entry, and front-line customer service in person or by phone.

Responsibilities include sorting and distributing lab specimens in Central Accessioning, entering requisitions into LIS, distributing patient lab reports, acting as a liaison with customers, handling backup tapes, and basic maintenance of

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of job-related experience required.
• Clerical experience required.
• Laboratory-related experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Sort and distribute lab specimens in Central Accessioning.
• Data entry and requisitioning into the LIS.
• Sort and distribute patient lab reports.
• Provide front-line customer service in person and by telephone.
• Act as liaison between the organization and external customers.
