Job summary

Alderbrook Resort & Spa in Union, WA is seeking a Kitchen Steward (Dishwasher) to keep the heart of the resort running smoothly. You will wash dishes, scrub pots, and maintain a tidy kitchen, supporting food service and daily operations behind the scenes.

We welcome applicants with no prior experience; commercial kitchen experience is a plus. Weekend availability is required and a WA Food Worker Card must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Required: No prior experience.
• Desirable: Commercial kitchen experience is a plus.
• Flexible work availability including weekends required
• WA Food Worker Card required within 14 days after hire

Responsibilities

• Operate the dish machine to wash dishes, glassware, and utensils, ensuring their correct storage.
• Hand wash pots, pans, and trays as needed.
• Keep the kitchen, including floors, mats, and dishwashing area clean.
• Handle waste disposal including trash removal to the dumpster, and maintain cleanliness around the kitchen's exterior, loading dock, and dumpster area as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards by monitoring dish machine temperatures and practicing appropriate hygiene and food handling.
• Assist with the delivery and setup of the daily employee meal.
