Job summary

Advanced Inc. is seeking a motivated Janitor to join our Milpitas site, providing cleaning, sanitizing, and organization to keep facilities welcoming and safe. You will perform routine tasks, monitor supplies, and collaborate with maintenance teams.

This role requires flexibility for day and evening shifts, strong attention to detail, and reliable teamwork. Compensation is competitive and includes health benefits, retirement savings, PTO, and sick leave.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Understanding of infection control practices.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Physical stamina for lifting and standing.
• Ability to work day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
• Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines.
• Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.
• Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced, Inc team.
