Job summary

VC3, Inc. is seeking an IT Security Analyst I for the evening shift. The role is remote within the USA, reporting to Jordan Marendiuk and supporting Technology Operations.

You will monitor security events, triage incidents, and build timelines of potential threats while following VC3 processes to deliver predictable client outcomes. Requirements include two years in information security, SIEM/EDR experience, and relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in Information Security or related field.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CCNA, C|EH, SSCP or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, firewall management, and endpoint detection and response platforms.
• One year or more of experience with EDR solutions, ESGs, vulnerability management and content filtering.

Responsibilities

• Translate Cyber Security concepts into non-technical terms for clients.
• Manage security event monitoring and incident response queues to meet SLAs.
• Convey indicators of compromise, isolation, and remediation steps.
• Analyze logs to diagnose faults and spot abnormal behavior.
• Utilize End Detection and Response tools to investigate alerts and build timelines.
