Job summary

Vimo is seeking a Security Analyst to join our Security Operations Center, monitoring and responding to security events across our network from a remote Mountain View, CA location.

You will work with SIEM tools like Splunk and Wazuh, triage incidents, analyze logs, coordinate responses with senior analysts, and help shape security policies. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience, AWS security expertise, MITRE ATT&CK knowledge, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with security-monitoring tools (SIEM/IDS/IPS).
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Expertise in AWS security (IaaC, IAM, Security Groups, GuardDuty).
• Incident response procedures and best practices.
• Knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.
• Basic log analysis and correlation of security events.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up monitoring tools as needed.
• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, Wazuh) and other systems.
• Conduct initial triage and investigation of potential incidents.
• Analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Escalate incidents and coordinate response with senior analysts.
• Contribute to security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation collaboration.
• Improve SOC processes and tools.
