Job summary

Master Center for Addiction Medicine in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced LPC/LCSW/LSATP to join the Intensive Outpatient Program as an IOP Counselor. You will provide individual, group, and family counseling, participate in psycho-educational services, and support case management for patients in the evening IOP.

This clinical role requires a valid license, a master's degree in counseling or related field, experience with substance use disorders, familiarity with EHR, and trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Licensed mental health professional required (LPC/LCSW/LSATP).
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Experience with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices for addiction treatments (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, CBT for SUDs).
• Strong interpersonal and trauma-informed approach.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy and group therapy for patients in the IOP.
• Conduct family counseling and psycho-educational services.
• Perform clinical documentation and case management for the IOP patients.
• Respond to crises; participate in on-call duties as needed.
