Job summary

KVC in Lawrence, KS is seeking an Intake Coordinator for evening shifts to locate and facilitate placements for children, track information, and update required data systems.

You will work Monday-Friday, 4 pm–12 am in a hybrid schedule with two days in the office per week; qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and 1–2 years of experience with children and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One to two years of experience working with children and families.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track non-contract referrals.
• Answer phone calls and questions.
• Enter new placement changes in required databases.
• Reconcile discrepancies with MIS, DCF and Accounting.
• Pre-screen all requests for residential and hospital placements.
• Help coordinate after-hours transportation.
• Request and ensure receipt of all required paperwork for child placement.
• Monitor database to ensure information is correct.
• Coordinate crisis intervention and placement disruptions.
