Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Process Technician for the 2nd shift in Statesville, NC. You will maintain and repair blow/injection molding equipment, troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics, and assist the supervisor to hit production and quality goals.

Responsibilities include setting up molds, adjusting machine parameters, and assisting with training of the Packer/Inspectors. You will also log production data, report unsafe conditions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Injection and/or blow molding experience.
• 1-3 years robotics experience.
• Experience with conveyors, sprue pickers and HDPE processing.
• Forklift certification on-site.
• Knowledge of mold setup, change and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality plastic wheels, lids, and small components for trash cans.
• Set up injection/blow molding tool and molds, sample/production molds, set-up machine operating parameters to process parts to specifications.
• Connect hydraulics and pneumatics for mold components as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery during production; monitor and adjust equipment for efficiency.
• Assist the Shift Supervisor in training and directing Packer/Inspectors to maintain quality production.
• Enter end of shift production/downtime and quality information; monitor IQMS system.
