The Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Housekeeping Services Associate to support patient care areas, corridors and surroundings with daily upkeep. This role contributes to a safe, clean, and welcoming hospital environment.

Evenings, rotating weekends, and holidays are required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; reading/writing English is expected; ability to lift up to 30 lbs is part of the duties in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Must be able to reach, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the 7 Step Cleaning Process and cleans patient care areas, common areas and bathrooms.
• Maintains cleanliness and neat appearance of assigned areas within allotted time.
• Replenishes soap, towels and toilet paper daily.
• Complies with HazCom program and handles trash and soiled linen properly.
• Follows disinfection procedures for isolation/precaution areas.
• Uses chemicals and equipment according to guidelines.
• Keeps supply/storage closet and housekeeping carts clean and stocked.
• Interacts with individuals professionally and provides attentive support.
• Works independently and ensures own work quality.
