Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a licensed clinical social worker to provide consultation, psychosocial counseling and support services to its customer base. The role mobilizes patients and families resources to maximize benefits of medical care and improve functioning.

The temporary position, through February 2027, requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work and CA BBS LCSW preferred. The hourly pay range is $42.79–$61.84, with placement based on experience per the UNAC CBA.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• CA BBS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess psychosocial needs and complete psychosocial assessments.
• Document assessments and treatment plans, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Utilize hospital and community resources to assist patients and families.
• Consult and intervene in crisis situations; educate staff on Code Green.
• Advocate for patients and families while protecting privacy and confidentiality.
• Develop and revise plans of care in collaboration with patients/families.
