Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Linen Service Worker at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. Under the supervision of the Laundry Department Supervisor or Manager, you will collect soiled linens from Nursing Units and other departments, and prepare carts to full capacity.

The role is per diem, evening shift, with pay range listed as $19.89–$20.94 per hour; compensation depends on education, skills, and experience.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to take direction.
• Must have the ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Possess basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Collection of all soiled linen from all the Nursing Units and other Ancillary departments, including Continuing Care. Fill in the carts to 100% capacity.
• Deliver linen exchange carts to all Nursing Units. Distribute lines to all other Nursing units and Ancillary Departments
• Ensure soiled linen in laundry bags went through the Chute Room properly
• Maintain the bulk linen items line together. Put away the linen items in the cabinets
• Keep the Linen Department clean and in order
• Line all the empty carts together against the wall
• Replenish and ensure exchange carts are filled with the appropriate Par levels
• Return empty carts to the linen department for restocking
