Job summary

Loyola Medicine is seeking an Evening Shift Lead Service Associate to oversee housekeeping tasks in a hospital setting. You will report to the department leadership and may supervise on days when managers are unavailable, scheduling and coordinating staff.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and non-patient areas, stocking supplies, maintaining safety and infection control standards, and handling waste and linen. High school diploma required; hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as a housekeeping specialist.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• On-the-job training of 1–3 months to acquire knowledge of safety procedures, infection control, isolation disinfections, and fabric cleaning techniques.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead Service Associate reports to department leadership.
• May act as Supervisor on days when managers are unavailable, including scheduling and attendance monitoring.
• Clean patient rooms and non-patient areas; mop, buff, and maintain floors and equipment.
• Restock equipment and supplies in patient rooms.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly environment for health care providers, patients, and visitors.
• Perform daily and discharge cleaning of isolation and non-isolation patient rooms.
• Handle regular and bio-hazard waste and linen as required.
