Job summary

UPMC Lock Haven is seeking a dedicated full-time Environmental Services Associate for the evening/night shift (11:00am-7:30pm), with occasional coverage at the McElhatten facility (6:00pm-2:30am) and a 12-hour shift every third weekend. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, public areas, offices, and equipment to meet hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital housekeeping is preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to lift and move equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Make beds following established cleaning procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Inspect and ensure areas are properly cleaned and report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Clean all assigned areas including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment.
• Maintain equipment in clean, working condition and report problems to supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes; wash walls, spot carpets as assigned.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
• 18 years old preferred.
